Trauma Training
Helps foster, adoptive, and kinship families better understand how trauma, loss, grief, and separation can affect a child’s behavior, emotions, and development. This training provides practical tools to help caregivers respond with patience, build trust, create stability, and support healing in the home. Families will learn trauma-informed parenting strategies, including how to manage challenging behaviors, strengthen connections, and create safe, nurturing environments for children in their care.
Trauma I
Focuses on brain development, how early trauma impacts a child's nervous system, and why understanding this is crucial for effective caregiving.
Trauma II
Looks at the bodily systems affected by trauma and teaches caregivers how to observe patterns of behavior to discover the child's underlying needs.
Trauma III
Covers practical, trauma-focused strategies to help children build emotional regulation, cope with difficult behaviors, and heal from loss.
